Writing Dramatic Non-Fiction with Paul Willetts
Got a great idea for a work of non-fiction, but unsure how best to make a start? Successful non-fiction writer and journalist Paul Willetts will offer his own experiences of producing narrative-driven historical non-fiction in this day workshop for aspiring and emerging non-fiction writers.
Paul will provide an insight into the creative possibilities of this type of factual writing, and through examples and discussions, will teach you ways to tackle the inevitable practical problems. You will look at how to expand an idea into a book proposal, and gain advice on researching a subject and then transforming the consequent notes into readable and dramatic non-fiction. By the end of the day, you’ll be equipped with the tools to write an exciting and engaging story, steeped in the sights and sounds of a long-gone world.
Perfect for anyone interested in non-fiction, biography and history.
